Art Reactions: A Beloved Pup

Art Reactions Blog_Maggie.jpg

In the second installment of my new blog series. Art Reactions, I’ll share with you one of the most rewarding parts of my job: making people happy (or better yet, making people happy cry!). See what makes gifting art so heartwarmingly beautiful!

This young woman’s beloved pup, Kash, was her best friend…her “soulmate,” as she lovingly called him. They went everywhere together, from trail runs, to long hikes, to climbing crags. So when her dear Kash passed away quickly and unexpectedly this Spring, she was understandably devastated.

Knowing how much her sweet pup meant to her, her boss and friend surprised her with a commissioned painting of Kash.

A painting can never cure the heartache of a loss, but it can provide a beautiful kind of catharsis, seeing the happy, smiling face of your love forever immortalized in luminous, painted color.

Seeing videos like this one provides me with a means of catharsis, as well, reaffirming to me the incredible power of generosity, kindness, empathy, and love. It is my absolute joy and honor to play a role in your acts of kindness. So keep on giving art! The world needs more happy tears. ❤️

And don’t worry, if you’ve ever sent me a reaction video or anything personal, I won’t share it without your permission!
